About Waugh Chapel

 

On November 1, 1967 Waugh Chapel Elementary opened on grounds that was once a part of a Plantation called Hammomds Plantation.  Because it opened two months into the school year, September to November 1, Waugh Chapel shared building space with Odenton Elementary.

Vision for Waugh Chapel Elementary

The faculty and staff are commited to setting high and realistic goals for every student inorder for them to achieve academic success.  Our staff is commited to communicating with each other as well as with parents and community to nuturer the following qualities within each student:

  • Responsibilities for actions and achievements
  • Desire for lifelong learning
  • Confidence, pride, and leadership

 

Students, parents and school staff, as partners will work cooperatively to nurture a well balanced individual both socially, emotionally and academically for success in a diverse world.

 

To achieve this vision, we will:
