Math-A-Thon

MATH-A-THON 2010!

This is the PTA's major fundraiser for the year.  We need to raise funds in order to continue supporting annual activities such as the Read-In Night, Ice Cream Socials, Yearbook, and Cultural Enrichment programs, agenda books etc.  If each student were to gather 5 pledges of just 10 cents per correct problem, we would easily reach our goal.  Please help us.  We are counting on your support.

This years Math-A-Thon will be held in a scavenger hunt type format.  Student in grades 1 through 5 will hunt around their classroom looking for marked math problems to answer.  Once finished students will then proceed to other same grade level classes.  Each class will be themed with a different math operation i.e addition, subtraction etc.  Students are asked to gather pledges to be collected based on the number of problems they answer correctly.  This activity will take place during normal school hours.

If each child were to gather 5 pledges of just 10 cents per correct problem, we would easily make our goal.
